Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-06-13 · Draft for legal review.
1. Who we are
Block2Pay is a payment-protection product operated by Taafpay Limited Company, a limited liability company registered in Ghana since 2020. These Terms govern your use of the Block2Pay service (“the Service”).
2. What we do
The Service lets verified sellers in Ghana share a Mobile Money payment link. Buyers pay via Mobile Money, and TaafPay holds the funds in escrow with our licensed Payment Service Provider partner (Flutterwave) until the buyer confirms delivery, the seller's 72-hour auto-release window elapses, or a dispute is resolved per our Dispute Policy.
3. Buyer terms
- No account required. We hold your phone number to send transaction confirmations only.
- Funds are held in escrow with our PSP partner. TaafPay does not hold buyer funds on its own balance sheet.
- You can open a dispute up to 7 days after delivery. Disputes under GHS 500 resolve in 24 hours per the Dispute Policy.
- Standard Mobile Money network fees apply per your operator (MTN / Telecel / AirtelTigo).
4. Seller terms
- Ghana Card KYC verification is mandatory before accepting payments (Payment Systems and Services Act, 2019 — Act 987).
- Service fee: 2.5% of each successful transaction, capped at GHS 50. Free under GHS 50.
- 0.5% of the gross goes to our insurance pool, used to cover fast-track buyer refunds.
- You agree to deliver goods or services as described on the payment link.
- Disputes must be responded to within 24 hours (fast-track) or 7 days (manual).
5. Prohibited uses
You may not use the Service for: regulated goods or services without proper licensing, financial instruments, multi-level marketing, lotteries, illegal drugs, weapons, or any activity that violates Ghana law including the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2020 (Act 1044).
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Ghana law, TaafPay's aggregate liability for any claim arising from a transaction is limited to the amount of that transaction. TaafPay is not liable for losses arising from inaccurate seller information, delivery disputes resolved against you, or Mobile Money network failures outside our control.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Accra.
